How do I program the DX1 keys to perform certain tasks or even simple keystrokes?
There are several ways to program the DX1 keys: 1. Use the pre-built macros (for more than 60 software programs and games) that come with the DX1. With Ergodex Manager, these can be readily assigned to DX1 keys. 2. Record macros on the fly, either “in game” or in any other software program. This is done as follows: a) press the record button on the DX1, b) press, in the desired sequence, the keys that make up the macro on the standard keyboard, and then c) press the DX1 key to which the macro is to be assigned. 3. Compose and edit macros using the macro editor within Ergodex Manager. The macro editor gives the greatest flexibility in terms of macro definition, timing and other factors. 4. Exchange and import macros from others over the internet, or by diskette, etc. Then use one of the above methods to assign to your DX1 keys.
